The Main Shrine building is one of the oldest in the Brickfields Buddhist Maha Vihara. The building is solidly built with large square stone pillars around its passageway, giving it a strong and stable atmosphere. Built in 1894 during the Colonian Malayan period it has an architectural design with a mixed blend of Celyon, Moghul and British colonial neoclassical elegance and form.
